Social Work
I bought this book for my daughter who is studying Social Work at Uni so very pleased with it.
Good for Assignments.
I used this book in all three years of the social work degree course, dipping in and out for assignments, which makes it very good value for money. It is not as easy to read as Neil Thompson's books but it is more in depth and the conclusions at the end of chapters tend to pull the information together and solidify it in the mind. This book was on the essential reading list at Northumbria University and it is well deserving of it's place there, this is a book that should be bought rather than borrowed as it is useful for so many different units.
A must have for all Social Workers
I am in the process of buying a copy but based on the help i received from the copy i got from the library, i can strongly recomend it for any social work student or practitioner.
Really really helpful!
We loved this book. Both my partner (trainee social worker) and myself (trainee probation officer) found this book invaluble. It is really easy to read and contains loads of quotes and info which you can use in ethics-type essays as well as info on various theories within social work. Also good for reflective essays and continuing professional development portfolios.
Also the title reads 'social work' it contains many of the debates and issues raised on the BA Community Justice course
