Customer Reviews:Recommended reading if thinking of starting a new venture
I have just started a new company and when asking an experienced friend for thought, he lent us his
copy of this book.
It is hard to not get caught up in the excitement of a new venture but this just looks at the various
angles involved to clarify whether the new plan has a future. It is common sense, you agree with what
he is saying, but perhaps deciced not to look at the fatal flaw in the plan? Also recommend
the entrepreneurship book by Paul Burns.
One of two essential books for any entrepreneur
Mullin's New Business Road Test is essential for any entrpreneur.
His structured approach takes you through a rigorous, considered framework for assessing the validity of your business. It is the best book of its kind.

Amongst the Best Books
The book elaborates on 7-domain analysis and the importance with lots of practical examples as well. I highly recommend this book.
Invaluble source of objectivity
I've read quite a few business books, whilst developing my business plan. This one is the one I'd recommend the most. It provides a logical appraisal of your business idea - and gives you back the objectivity you've almost certainly lost in the enthusiasm of your idea. Also in sequentially appraising your plan it offers a logical base for deriving the information you will need to put in any business plan.
I wish I'd read it before I started, but it's been very helpful in highlighting weaknesses and strengths and improving my focus as I go. A great book.
Got a business idea ? Read this book before you do anything else.
Having had several failed and partially successful business ideas in the past I decided I needed to get an education in how to bring my ideas to fruition, so I enrolled at London Business School.
This book is one of the required reads for "Starting a New Business" (One of the entrepreneurial modules) and for good reason. In a very succinct manner John Mullins combines Strategy, Economics, Accounting and Leadership into a model that makes assessing a new idea extremely simple. To this he adds loads of real world examples which enhance and explain the theory.
I only wish I had a book like this 10 years ago, as it would have saved me a lot of time working on concepts that were fundamentally flawed from the beginning.
