Customer Reviews:
Disappointing
I got sucked in by the hype on this one. It has some useful enough tips and tricks and a sprinkling of anecdotes but overall its pretty light weight. Its not thorough enough for the beginner and does not contain the meat to help a good PM become brilliant. Overall disappointing

'BRILLIANT' IS NOT WHAT THIS BOOK IS ABOUT
I was sucked into this purchase by well meaning people reviewing it who confuse clarity with comprehension.
Its clear and to the point but so much is missed out, its a minimalist offering that you might want to read on the train on your way to an interview and want to remind yourself of catch phrases and buzzwords.
The title plays on the 'brilliant' adjective and repeats all through the book. Its not a word that springs to mind when reading it.
I would rate this at an A level student, not higher.

The Lazy Project Manager's top pick
There is a good reason that this book is always near the top of the project management books - it is just a very good reference book for project managers, easy to read, easy to digest and easy to reference. All my project managers are encouraged to have a copy close to hand.

The lazy project manager: How to be twice as productive and still leave the office early

Well organised guide
This book is well-written and concise. It is not affiliated to any particular methodology and therefore establishes the principles, in a well organised book, supporting a structured approach which works.

Brilliant Project Management - good practical advice
Excellent, no-nonsense advice across the spectrum of project management, from inception through to post-project review. Backed up by years of practical experience. Easy to read and immediately applicable guidance.
