'BRILLIANT' IS NOT WHAT THIS BOOK IS ABOUT ![]()
I was sucked into this purchase by well meaning people reviewing it who confuse clarity with comprehension.
Its clear and to the point but so much is missed out, its a minimalist offering that you might want to read on the train on your way to an interview and want to remind yourself of catch phrases and buzzwords.
The title plays on the 'brilliant' adjective and repeats all through the book. Its not a word that springs to mind when reading it.
I would rate this at an A level student, not higher.
The Lazy Project Manager's top pick ![]()
There is a good reason that this book is always near the top of the project management books - it is just a very good reference book for project managers, easy to read, easy to digest and easy to reference. All my project managers are encouraged to have a copy close to hand.

Well organised guide ![]()
This book is well-written and concise. It is not affiliated to any particular methodology and therefore establishes the principles, in a well organised book, supporting a structured approach which works.
