This book is brilliant, on a par with "The Fifth Elephant" Terry Pratchett at his best, full of humour and insight into the human psychic. A really good story about two boys two girls, some chain mail and football.
Good but not great 
I love Terry Pratchett - have all his books to date, except the Nac Mac Feegle series which I don't like. Having said that, and considering this to be a good book, I must say that I found it a bit tiresome at times. Situations and explanations are dwelled into for too long making it less good and a lot less funny, had it been just a little bit tighter.

I bought this book for my husband, who is a big fan of Terry Pratchett. But he didn't like this book at all.
Typical (in a good way) Discworld outing
I doubt that reviews of the latest Pratchett really make much difference to the regular fans at this point. I know a bad write up would only make me more eager to get my hands on it and see if a failure is really on the cards.
There's little more to say than it's up to the usual Discworld standard. I did find the cockney style slang was ladled on a bit thick but that's a minor quibble.
EXCELLENT BOOK TERRY PRATCHETT AT HIS USUAL BEST
I am only 3/4 the way through this book, however, as an avid Terry Pratchett fan, I was eagerly awaiting this book. I would say that we have not been let down. The usual wit and charm of the diskworld shines (if somewhat murkily given the state of Ankh Morpork!) through the pages of this book and is an absoute fabulous additon to any growing Pratchett library and also an excellent once off read (although I am unable to see how anyone, having read this as their first Pratchett novel, would refrain from seeking out further volumes on the diskworld!)
