Poor
To start with let me say that I like Jo Brand. That's why I bought the book of course. But I like Jo Brand as a comedian, and primarily that is why she is a 'celebrity'. Why then, in her autobiography, do we get to page 285 before anything meaningful is mentioned about her career? The sleeve notes to the book describe Jo as being married with two children. Why no mention of her family? Is that not a significant life event? Sure, people have the right to some privacy, but if that is what you want do not write an autobiography which effetively finishes in the late eighties, before the start of the career that has given you so much, and expect people to pay decent money for the privilege. Can you tell I am angry? The book is poorly written, badly edited, and the anecdotes unfunny and hurried. Sorry Jo, but this is just not good enough!

an absolute joy
This book is caring and brilliant. As good as Alan Davies' autobiography. I so enjoyed it I am going to read her fiction stories about troubled people. Being an ex RMN she knows all about this subject.

I Need Sleep
I got this book for my wife i wish i hadn't. She reads it when she comes to bed at night, the laughing is so loud it;s a wonder anyone in the house can sleep. WARNING do not give this book to anyone with Astma or you may end up at A & E

disappointing
I was so looking forward to this book, but even for a Jo Brand fan like me, I have to say it was quite boring. Her childhood and teenage years were no more interesting than my own (and I'm sure no one would be interested in reading about those).

good read..
i enjoyed this book, it was funny and you could almost hear jo brand reading it out to you. jo is honest about everything and though not the most exciting book it has enough serious and funny bits to keep you reading. her dialogues on working in care are very good and i can relate to them very well. an easy enjoyable read.
