hard work - but worth it
a more intellectual approach - with more detail on some of the harder concepts
quite hard going though
the 7th ed is now out so dont buy the 6th

Great book, easy to read, easy to study and with lot of examples.

Really good material backed up in every case with a useful practical example of a real company employing the strategies being described. Really useful for coursework and revision. Means you don't have to do nearly so much outside research for practical examples to help your grade.
It has "strategy capsules" in every chapter that give more detailed examples of each strategy being implemented by a real company and the impacts the strategy has on their operation.
Overall, a really useful book that I found very helpful for revision.
Excellent Textbook for Strategy
An excellent MBA textbook that clarifies concepts with numerous examples. Students that need to quickly progress through strategy and fully grasp the path to competitive advantage need look no further than this textbook.
Great Read
Logical, narrative flow with good illustrative examples included to demonstrate theory in practice.
Definitely worth the buy.
