Bought for a friend. She loves perfumes and loves this book.' She also has great taste so I guess that when she says its a "5 star" thats all I need to ay.
So much more than a dictionary of perfume
Who knew that there were so many wonderful ways to describe scent?
'Perfumes' is an enchanting book that is to perfume what Elizabeth David was to cooking.
Lovely to dip into, funny and at times outrageous in its judgements, 'Smells exactly like the synthetic flavor used in codeine syrup, but induces a hacking cough instead of relieving it.'It gives credit where credit is due and slices with a Samurai's sword where it is not.
I'll be giving it for Christmas.
Scented Memories
This book is amusing and authoritative. It brought back a number of memories of people and places based on perfumes I used to wear. After reading some entries, I rushed out and bought a bottle of Poison, which I stopped using years ago, but I'm wearing it as I write.

If you are confused about the amount of perfumes on the market this is for you a really good book tells you all you need to know,will help you decide which perfumes are for you.
There will be some recent perfumes to the market not in included but still a good buy
Perfumes Revealed
The book is short on detail but packs a surefire punch. Virtually every perfume ever made for both women and men is there and reviewed briefly but with a sharp pen. The authors dont pull any punches when a perfume is a dud. And the bad reviews are given no matter how famous the brand which is the great thing about this book, it's honesty. If you want a perfume guide thats honest short and to the point GET THIS BOOK.
