M175 Headset Review
I recently purchased a Plantronics M175 telephone headset for my home office use. I had used a Plantronics headset before. That was a cheaper version, but still very good. It appears to have ben discontinued, so I traded up to the M175. I have found this to be a very good product. It is easy on the ear, as I wear it most of the day, good sound and seems to be sturdy enough for the job.

Poor pickup 
The headset is comfortable and easy to adjust but the voice pick up is simply inadequate. Conversations while using this had the other party straining to hear my voice. As the design is a solid one piece there are no options for adjusting mic to mouth position or distance. After using for several days I simply had to stop and switch to another product. This one simply wasn't good enough.
Disappointing
Comfortable to wear but people complain I'm speaking to them from behind a closed door!
Good value, functional and versatile
I bought this unit in a hurry to replace a broken headset - turns outI was lucky.
It is convertible between an over head type unit and an over the ear unit. It has a mic mute control, mic volume (seperate from the mute) and speaker volume control. It's light and quite comfortable for extended use. I frequently use it for a few hours at a time. However, there are limits and I find myself needing to change to the other ear. This does take a little fiddling, but not too much.
The sound is clear and I've had no complaints of people being able to hear me.
All in all, not perfect but pretty close.
