I already had Microsoft Publisher but wanted to update it so I could create a website. I had the free trial for Publisher 2007 and decided to buy it. I created a website on it but found it difficult to find a hosting page so I had to get it translated to another programme. In general I like the programme very much.
A Pensioners View of Publisher 
I've never had a computer in my life so decided to find out what all the fuss was about, enroled in a basic computing course (i.e."How to turn on, turn off, send an E-mail,go on internet, that's your lot, now your on your own so hop it" sort of a course).On the last day of the course the tutor asked if there was anything we wanted to know, other than what the basics covered, I said that I would like to know how to do something constructive as spending all day just sending E-mails would drive me mad. She then gave us a run-down of the Publisher programme and I was hooked.The idea of making my own greeting cards with my own photos or with clip art really appealed to me.I am now well into it and it has also given me more of an interest in photography as I am always looking for new ideas to insert into the cards.Also through this interest I have now taught myself how to put photos on my computer, how to arrange them, how to edit etc so this one programme has widened my knowledge of computing. Friends and family are now asking me to make greeting cards for them so this has enhanced my interest and now I can fill a few more of my hours each day. Most of the technical jargon is still like Martian to me but I'm getting there!
Upgrade of Publisher
As good as ever, still getting to grips with the upgrade but sure it will do all I want,some good new templates

I am pleased to have the updated version of Publisher, although I would have expected more changes to it.
FANTASTIC SOFTWARE
Publisher is superb software for building a simple web site, creating loads of small business documents, so easy to use.
