Shiny
This series was made for HD, and the BBC went to a lot of effort to capture all the fine detail. This is nature as you've never seen it before. It's generally relaxing to watch and listen to, perfect for when you're all fat and happy after a roast dinner. There are little segments at the end of the episodes showing how the camera crew got the footage which are also fun and engaging.

great watch and very informative
this is one of the best documentaries i have seen. but unlike movies you can watch this whenever and as often as you like without getting board and picture quality is amazing. a must have blue ray for every house.

The quality of photography you would expect
The landscape photography is fantastic, a great way to show off your new HDTV.

But don't buy it for your wife if she is a bit squeamish. Every section seems to start with a beautiful scene, zoom in to a group of unusual or interesting animals, and then ends once they have been killed by a passing predator.

A Miracle for Eyes and Ears - also to learn English
We bought this set after a long-term waiting for the price to be reduced and it is a miracle to watch the pictures and to hear to this so good English of David Attenborough. It is a perfect Instrument to learn the language with subtitels and to enjoy this kind of nature document that can only be made by British in a best tradition. It has been writene a lot about the quality of picture and sound here so it's not necessary to repeat it. But for all who want to improve their English - buy it and enjoy!
