photo digital image improvement? ![]()
I find this rather complex - Microsofts digital image software gives good improvements and will not give you a headache
Great product, great price ![]()
If you are looking at this producet then you are no doubt comparing it with photoshop.
Having used paint shop pro 5 for a good many years now at home I thought it was time to upgrade to something more powerfull especially given that I have used 3 different versions of Photoshop at work including the latest CS4 package & Elements 3.
I vastly enjoy using this product over the Photoshop ones, it is simpler to use but does not lack anything that I have ever needed to use in Photoshop (which poses the question why is Photoshop so expensive?).
I only ever take photos in high quality JPEG format, which is the standard format for most cameras and this product is perfect for that (RAW support comes with the ultimate edition so individual users should check support first).
If you want a editing program for your home PC then I can't recomend this product enough especially given the price (£25). The package also includes a manuel to guide you though the main features as well as having on screen support.
A minor improvement over the previous release but still slow ![]()
Well, I've got a reasonably quick multicore machine but the paint shop pro series of products just seem to make it crawl - I don't know why. Anyway, I bought this X2 version just to update my previous release and gain access to some improved functionality and hope that it would behave better with Vista. It doesn't crash like the old version did but it might be even slower - one tip is definitely to deactivate the "browser" function if you have lots of images because it seems to go away and scan your machine every time you open PSP and that sucks up the CPU and distracts from what you might actually want to be doing. Once I deactivated that, it behaved slightly better but still as CPU / Memory intensive as ever. Having said that, it is a good value alternative to the more heavyweight Adobe equivalents which aren't really priced for the home user.
