faulty HD replacement
I was a.bit spectacle in looking for my replacement HD for my sony Vaio... upgrading 320GB to 500GB... will it work or will it make my system slow.. but in the end decided to purchase this HD anyway... the thing that grab me was the price...
when it arrive... i plug it in my laptop and installed an OS to my laptop...~ i was surprise it work perfectly just like if i haven't changed the HD... the HD is quiet...~ so far i haven't have problem with it...

Squeaks and Beeps 
Put it in my laptop and did a clean install of Windows 7 x64. Worked absolutely fine for one day so I was really happy, but on the morning of the second day is started squeaking and beeping at me. It continually made a high pitched electronic sounding beep whenever it was idle or seeking. This went on for two days of updating drivers, looking for new firmware etc. before I contacted WD and they told me to send it back. Currently awaiting the new one.
It worked great for a day and arrived quickly so two stars, but fingers crossed the replacement doesn't sing at me as well.
HDD.
Bought this HDD as a replacement for my 80G on in my PS3.
Took me about 10 mins to change and put the new one in. Works lovely, no more noisy than the PS3 HDD. Only thing i would say is make sure that you have the right size screwdriver to get the old one out of your PS3 as they are really tight and look like they will get chewed up really easy.
All in all, good little HDD. :-)
Very easy to install !!
I purchased this drive to put into a 13" macbook so that I could install OS 10.6 (snow leopard). The whole installation process took about 5 minutes (not including the snow leopard install). Anyone contemplating doing this I would urge to do so, it's so easy.
