Worked like a charm
I bought this for the one Mac in our office as they were running the previous version and we needed to get them to read their Exchange 2007 e-mail in Entourage. The user in question says it's fine now!
For me, as a non-Mac user, the upgrade was a piece of cake - happy user, happy network administrator!
A Smooth Upgrade
I was going to do a clean install but after reading comments in forums and blogs I decided to just do an upgrade - involves less time and trouble. Although I have Time Machine working to an external HDD I followed advice and made a backup of my Leopard build to another external HDD using Carbon Copy Cloner (shareware) in case something went wrong.
Happily, my backup wasn't needed because the upgrade went without a hitch. Just follow the info on the Mac site. The upgrade took under an hour. Snow Leopard uses 8.1GB less space on my HD.
Be aware that this upgrade changes your OS from 32bit to 64bit. The only problem I've had so far is a couple of (32bit) plug-ins no longer worked - I found a way to fix them.
Apart from this everything looks the same but Stacks work differently and better.
A good buy.
just the job
Snow leopard was easy to install, even for me at my advanced age and state of senility. It took about 40 mins. Afterwards everything seemed to be working faster and looked sharper and prettier than ever. Worth it.
Snow Leopard
Excellent edition to the Mac OSX range.
Instals effortlessly, put in the disc and follow instructions on screen, in approx 45 mins to an hour your done.
My Macbook pro starts up and shuts down quicker and this makes a difference.
There are features galore but it would take me a while to write all of those into this review, suffice to say, for around £25.00 you get a brilliant operating system with lot of features and no installation hassle.
I would recommend this to anyone who has a Mac.

I did my research and have not been disappointed in upgrading my Mac to Snow Leopard 10.6. The delivery from Amazon was quick and most important free and the price much cheaper than the Apple Store. If you have an intel based Mac then you will not be disappointed with your purchase. What are you waiting for Christmas?
