Resource hungry
PSE runs like a dog on my 3Ghz quad core 2 duo with 4Gb of RAM (I also have a raptor HDD). It's the only software I have that doesn't fly. What does it need to run well??? I often open up an old version of PSP instead to save the pain of opening PSE. And why does it have to load its own mouse driver? It overwrites my settings for button operation and motion speed.
All in all, I'm sorry I purchased it.
Showed up a fault in my computers hard drive.
Excellent product that no doubt will be much used in the future. However I had problems with loading it onto the my computer that neccesitated it being fxed under warranty but this was not due to the software. I didnot realise at the time that the software was fairly complicated to understand and no doubt all will become cleasr to me in the future.

Elementary..even for me!
Had to replace PC & ended up with Vista so Elements 3 wouldn't work. Chose Elements 7 as verion 8 is around so 7 is a lot cheaper! Big improvements on El.3 - organising photos into groups & printing contact sheet/thumbnails much much easier. General visual presentation much better. Didn't take too long to work out the subtle changes. Could alter all our images previously saved on El.3 so well happy. Joining photos fast & very clever! Would highly recommend.

This photo editing programme is excellent.
I bought this to edit images for a web site and was concerned that I had bought a programme that could not do enough.
I was wrong! This programme is so comprehensive it does most things most people need to do to still images.
In addition Adobe have an excellent support set up which has helped me at no cost to me but with excellent results.
But with confidence!!Adobe Photoshop Elements 7 (PC)
