Allcam also understand most computers do not come with any eSATA ports, so an SATA to e-SATA adapter bracket is included free in the package which allows convert an internal SATA interface to an external eSATA interface. An eSATA cable is also included for you to connect the docking station to the e-SATA port.

good but...
does what it says, but bare in mind that it doesn't go into standby when your PC does (unlike standard external hard drives). So the disk keeps spinning, draining power for no reason. I was going to use it as a media source, connected to a Wake-On-LAN PC...but can't now. If I'd have known this beforehand, I wouldn't have bought it.
Worth every penny 
Very good build quality.
esata is more than fast enough for any 7200 hdds, even USB2 is most the time. Works right out of the box, on linux (2.6.18) at least, no additional drivers needed.
Dissappointing 
This item arrived with the flip door at the top broken and showed signs of not being completely new.
While the brand new hard disk I used was recognised by computer it was not in explorer so nothing could be done.
No worthwhile instructions whatsoever. In addition those people who want to look at older drives should note carefully that this will only handle sata drives and not ide.
Disconnect problems 
I have used serveral different USB SATA docking stations. This one worked just fine at first, but then started to randomly disconnect. Shame, because it's got all the functionality I was looking for, including eSATA connectivity.
Speedy 
Even though i've not tried this yet i was amazed at the speedy delivery of it, so to that end i'd really like to thank the supplier..
