Drive was faulty
Drive well-packaged, contrary to other reviews. Also blisteringly fast. Highest score I've ever seen on HDTune. But screen invariably froze after a few minutes use as boot disk. Worked hard to get it to work, including transferring system several times. Another disk ordered at same time (Samsung 750GB) installed and worked fine, so problem not in my computer. Drive returned, and Amazon provided quick refund

One Good, One Duff 
Ordered two of these drives fro a Mac Pro.
One drive was seen, identified and mounted without any issue.
Other drive was seen, but could not be identified.
Drive returned to Amazon without any hassle and credit card reimbursed.
Packaging was good with drives sealed and in individual foam boxes.
Excellent drive
Bought this as a second drive for my PC to store photos,came well packed, installed easily and runs quietly. Needed to be partitioned and formatted as NTFS which took quite a few hours but it is a large drive.No problems so far
Excellent drive for Drobo
If you have a Drobo these drives are excellent. They are quiet, safe and i have had no drive failures with them.
