Only had the camera for about a week but I am already very pleased with it. Had some excellent results already and it is so easy to use.
Bought it to save carrying my bulky A200 SLR round with me and the quality of the pictures is virtually as good.
Any looking for a compact camera to give you pin sharp pictures then this is the one for you.
a nice little camera 
This camera replaces an old Olympus digital camera from the days when 2.1m pixels was considered good. Having got fed up of the bulk, short battery life and slowness of it I wanted to get my partner something compact with a long battery life and quick, really quick. This Sony ticks all the boxes and there are many more features besides. The menu system is straight forward and easily legible which makes this camera easy to use in spite of its many features. The smile shutter works well for people without beards and the ability to plug into the HDMI socket on the TV is great for good quality viewing of slideshows complete with music. Focusing works well even in poor light conditions and the exposure is well balanced, even with the flash on. I have a Canon IXUS 970 which costs nearly twice as much and I have to say that when it comes to it the W220 is, on balance, just as good. So if you are after an easy to use, good quality camera with out costing the earth then this camera is well worth considering.

Excellent for taking snapshots. Results on standard setting have been very good. Haven't tried many of the advanced settings yet, but the head focus seems pretty good. Word of warning with the USB adapter: take care when removing from the camera. If you don't press the very small button, you could damage the camera.

I originally thought about buying the w215 but noticed a buyer had retuned it and decided on the w220 i read his review and decided on the w220 its excellent worth paying the extra and the price here was £50 cheaper a small compact camera and very happy with it

It is an easy to use camera, since its functions are so damn simple. Its quality is absolutely amazing, the flash is ridiculously good/bright which could be a bad thing for the victim of the photograph. and its really small and light so it is 100% worth what was paid. DEFINITE BUY
