Great TV!
I bought this TV just over a month ago and I am still very happy with it!
One of the main things I was looking for was a TV that had a black surround that wasn't like all the others that are around at the moment. All the others I saw had a shiny plastic surround so when watching, light reflects off of it and you can even see your reflection, which really distracts from the film!!! So when I found the Sony bravia, I was over the moon. It only has a tiny bit of shiny plastic right at the edge.
The picture quality is amazing as is the sound, the only downside is the remote. Quite slow at changing channels and I can't use the Guide function as it goes to the channel when you just want to read the information. So we just buy a TV Guide (which we prefer anyway!), the main thing about a TV is how it performs when your watching it and you certainly cant fault this TV! Would definitely recommend.
Sony comes out tops again 
This tv was bought for my mother. She had it on recommendation from me that Sony were the best .Just recently, I bought myself one and the ease of set up was great. You have to study the 168 page book but not all at once! When you have got the basics,then it's great to try other options.Clarity and sound is excellent. I would highly recommend it.
Value for money
This was a good value for money purchase especially at the price it was at amazon. The only downside to this tv is that controls on Sky remote control does not work with this tv. Sony Bravia is more expensive than some of the other makes, however its performance is superior to some of its competitors.
SONY BRAVIA BARGAIN AND STAND
I AM HIGHLY DELIGHTED WITH MY PURCHASE,BEFORE ORDERING I WENT TO LOCAL STORES IE COMET,CURRYS ETC TO PRICE BOTH ITEMS AND FOUND I MADE A SUBSTANTIAL SAVING AT AMAZON.I HAVE ALWAYS BOUGHT SONY TVS AND AM JUST AS SATISFIED WITH THIS ONE BUT EVEN MORE SATISFIED WITH AMAZON !!!!
Great picture, sound not so good
Very pleased with the picture quality of this Sony TV and I do like the various connection options available. Very easy to assemble the stand and tune for available TV stations - up and running within 20 minutes of delivery (thank you Amazon for the quick turn round). I am a bit disappointed with the sound quality.....rather 'tinny' compared with my 9 year old Toshiba 28" CRT TV which had good surround sound with its extra rear speakers. Not a real issue for the usual rubbish trotted out by our beloved TV providers but, if there is something worth extra sound quality, I simply plug it in to the Hi-Fi. The picture quality FAR exceeds my old Toshiba's standards so I am happy there. The new Sony TV is currently sitting on my old Toshiba stand which has a damaged top - is there anybody out there who has an unwanted, pristine condition, Toshiba stand; the top bit anyway?
