Wow - this TV the bees knees!
What can I say - it is simply brilliant.
I have it connected to Virgin Media HD+ Box and the quality of ALL tv is simply brilliant.
The actual HD transmissions only appear slightly better than the 'normal' but according to my son, who has a different HD TV and Sky, our Sony, or Virgin HD+ Box, or combination of them, quality for 'normal' transmissions are far better quality than his so we don't notice a vast improvment when turning to and HD channel.
May be some upscaling going on somewhere perhaps!
BB1 HD from Virgin Media via HD+ Box is the best and is just great.
Not sure on the Motionflow feature - tried different TV and film and DVD and BlueRay and changing the settings does not make a noticeable difference to me - but I am 52 nearly!
Totally happy and would recommend to anyone.

+Picture is excellent on standard viewing but there are some problems with sports. Closeups on football are ok but there appears to be a ripple in the background and the lines on the pitch are wavy.Changed the scart leads but the problem still exists.If there is some way of adjusting the background sharpness or depth I would appreciate someone posting a possible answer to this problem.

Without going into all the detail, it was out of the box and up and running within 20 minutes. Totally delighted with the set. The colours are natural and vibrant and even before I plugged in the HD box the detail was amazing. Still "fine tuning" all the options.Very pleased with the purchase.
Great TV - Great price
Everybody who buys this tv seems to be of the same opinion - by far the best tv money can buy in this price bracket. It looks lovely, pictures are excellent - black blacks and beautiful vibrant colours. Easy to set up. Simple, intuitive remote control and menu's. My only niggle is the lovely gloss frame is very (and I mean very!!) easily marked. Looks fab as you peel off the plastic protection but within days, even just ever so slightly wiping off the dust, I've somehow covered it in tiny abrasive marks. And the where my TV is positioned it's very noticeable through the day. Oh well...
Absolutely stunning
I thought that I might be taking a gamble having seen the reviews concerning backlighting issues. But no, absolutely stunning picture with deep blacks. A mate recently purchased a Panasonic 37" LCD TV and he commented that the blacks on this Sony were definately superior to his TV. Nothing better shows the brilliance of this set than watching 'Life' on BBC HD. Beautiful.
