Brilliant printer except
I bought this printer via Misco, sorry Amazon, about two months ago. The cashback at that time was £100. The printer was easily installed into my wireless hub and became immediately accessible to my son's Apple laptop. This is where the fun started. I tried to wirelessly connect it to my Dell Desktop running XP. The computer kept telling me a file (Serscan.sys) was missing and that I was to insert the Windows XP disk which Dell does not supply. I tried everything I could think about including "Hot upgrades" from Microsoft etc,. I then Googled the problem and discovered widespread reporting of the same problem . I spent literally 4/5 hours to no avail. I just eventually hardwired the printer to my computer and it worked immediately. So it seems to me, save £30, and buy the non-wireless model if you run microsoft, or buy something Apple. Eventually the printer in operation, is brilliant, and as I'm a bit deaf, who cares about a little noise!
HP OfficeJet Pro 8500 WIFI
I have bought the HP OfficeJet Pro 8500 WIFI for my new small business and the guy helping me with my IT set up was very happy! So far, so good, it seems really quick and easy to use for printing, scanning and copying. Time will tell about the running costs for toner cartridges!

It was very easy to set up and works well. My only criticism is that it quite often does not pick up paper gives an 'Out of Paper' display, even though the paper drawer is well stocked, which is very annoying and means that you have to coax it along. Talking to other people with the same printer this appears to be a common problem. Paper excepted, I'm very happy with it.
A complete waste of time 
I bought this thinking it was the best thing since sliced bread - it looked like it would deal with all of our home and office requirements in one machine. After a lengthy set up process I did a test colour print and it worked fine. The next day, a "clear paper jam" message appeared even though there was no paper jam. Nothing would unblock the message, and on closer inspection of feedback on this and other sites I discovered that this is a common problem. And there are lengthy (and very helpful) explanations about not only the problem but subsequent problems that second and third machines of the same type had, not to mention the difficulty in getting any timely or helpful customer service out of HP. So on the back of all of that we decided to quit before we went grey. Very disappointed.
Fine printer - one major flaw 
This is really an excellent all-in-one. Setup is easy (although it gurgled away for 30 minutes or so setting itself up) and connected to my wireless network immediately. Software of course is bloated and installation takes about 20 minute per machine. After that it is simplicity itself to use.
HOWEVER
This product should not be sold outside the USA until HP sorts out the driver which has all the default print profiles set to "Letter" size paper. You cannot save changes to these profiles, only create new ones, which gets confusing (can't delete them either). From reading various forums HP seems not tuo understand that the rest of the world uses A4
