GREAT QUAD PHONE SET
As my previous quad phone set was dying on me (it was over 10 years old), I began searching for a replacement, and settled upon the Panasonic KX-TG8424EB.
I'd read existing reviews, and thought I couldn't go wrong given the price - I was absolutely right! Important features for me were the answerphone and the ability to use each hand-set on loudspeaker, as i am disabled, and cannot easily hold the phone to my ear.
Additional features that are BRILLIANT, are: the ability to store numbers on one handset and send this to the other handsets (not something that I could do on my old Philips cordless set) and also the ability to be able to check for answerphone messages, to listen to, delete, etc, these from any handset in the house. Again, handy if you are in bed having a lie in, and someone calls and leaves a message!
So, all in all, I'd recommend this phone - some quirky ring tones as well as some of the more standard ones - oh yes, and the handset display is ideal, if like me, your eyes are old and failing a bit!!
Panasonic KX-TG8424EB Colour DECT Quad Telephone
This is an excellent phone, much better than my previous BT model. Looks are smart. Very easy to install. Reception excellent. The range of ring tones is a bit tinny and the voice on the answering machine irritating; but these are subjective criticisms. I was pleased to be able to enter my stored numbers on one handset and then transfer them to the others without re-entry. Also good to be able to turn off the display during charging. Good product.

Easy to set up, & great for a normal house being placed in kitchen, lounge, bedroom & study.
I like the way you can retreive messages from any phone.
Incompatable 
The caller ID on this phone didn't work on my phone line. I could not decide if the item was faulty or not compatable with my phone line. Panasonic help line told me that the caller ID doesn't always work on lines provided by suppliers other than BT. My caller ID has worked on an older phone for many years.
Great Phones 
Great phones. Has the ability to copy contacts between bases. Crystal clear sound even in garage well away from base station. Good looking set and easy to use Slight downside is the bright display. You can only change contrast, so for a bedroom its a bit bright. Had BT phones before always fail after a while but with these its looking good so far.
