Journey to the Schenker of the Earth
This is a great addition to the other multi-disc live box-sets that feature Michael Schenker (Back to Attack, Reactivate Live, Mad Axeman Live, and recently a UFO "Bootleg" release to add to UFO's Live on Earth). Three of the five discs are not available elsewhere, disc four is the Reading festival appearance from 1982, previously released as MSG BBC Radio 1 Live, and disc 5 was previously available as a bootlegged DVD of a gig from London Hammersmith, 1983. The recordings are generally of higher quality than Back to Attack and Reactivate Live, and some stunning moments are captured. This recording is great for getting hold of Reading 1982 as the previous release is these days often either rare or expensive or both. The Reading gig by itself is worth shelling out for - but really anything by Michael is worth getting hold of - simply because he's arguably the greatest natural musical talent alive today.
great box set like the ufo bootleg box
fantastic box set of some of michaels best shows from michaels prime era with msg, i always felt 80 to 84 was msgs best peroid, like the ufo box set these shows all have fantastic mastering and unlike the ufo boot box this one has a bonus dvd of the classic 83 london show so this box is a must for any real schenker fan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
