A useful upgrade
We purchased this to replace a Tom-Tom Go 300 that was starting to show its age. So far we've been very pleased with the unit. It did take a bit of wrestling to figure out how to attach the base to our windscreen, which wasn't immediately intuitive, especially as we were used to the way the 300 functioned. Once set up, though, the unit worked perfectly. It took a few minutes to set some basic preferences before the first usage, but once that was out of the way it was plain sailing. The display is bright and clear, and easier to see at a glance than our old unit. It is also much smaller and lighter, making it easy to slip into a pocket if you don't want to leave it in your car unattended. I must say that the lane advice display is really great; you can see at a quick glance which lane to get into as you approach a crossing or roundabout. So far I'd have to say I'm extremely pleased with the unit and would definitely recommend it.

i am very pleased with this item,it works extreamly well,i am a london taxi driver if i am outside london area and i have to drive to somewhere unfamilier it saves flicking throigh a map book the fast service i got from Amazon was equely as good thoughrely recomend this systom

A pleasure to use
I have owned many Sat-Nav units one of the most recent units was a Garmen 1310 but had to return after using at night because I found the large Blue screen gave me a migrain. The TomTom however allows night colours to be changed - such a relief. This is the second TomTom One I have owned, and was pleasently surprised to find that the improvements/implimentation of IQ routs and mapshare were a blessing. Lane guidance helps to further remove stress from driving on our already congested streets, and mapshare allowed me to change and inform TomTom of local speed limit changes and a new one way system. This is a fantastic driving aid.
