Brilliant
This really is a fantastic netbook, what else can you say that hasn't been said already? The battery life certainly isn't 9 hours but then I run it in "normal" mode, I'm sure with the power saving "long life" mode you would get that (if you really wanted to view the screen in a dim state..). 5 or 6 hours is more realistic for the average user I'd imagine.
Anyway it looks great, is so quiet you can't hear it and does everything you could want. I even play old games on it like Fallout which work flawlessly on it.
A little Gem
I bought this for my teenage daughter for her college work. It is light and robust, needs to be as she carries it around so much because she loves it. The key board is excellent. We use it on skype, built in webcam and mic are excellent too. the battery life is good and the memory is more than enough for its size although we do always use memory sticks as back-up in case of loss or theft of the machine. The screen size is great, you soon adjust to the smaller size without any problem. Overall an excellent machine, when my old lap-top dies I will be buying one of these for myself.
Excellent netbook
This netbook is excellent - it does everything you would expect. Battery life is good although not quite the 9 hours promised. Screen clarity is very good and its easy to type. I have had several Toshiba laptops over the years and this is as good as any. Highly recommended.
PS: I have upgraded mine to Windows 7 and it works fine.
The Ultimate NetBook
From the moment this was delivered it has more than surpass my expectation,Toshiba laptops are good but this model and specification puts other netbook in the market to shame. If you are thinking of upgrading to a NetBook this is the ultimate..quiet,fast and responsive and the extended battery on this model last for yonks(7hrs).
I took this to the office and my colleagues order 2 for themselves after admiring it for just 5mins...as its got this no nonsense business look. It has got a full keypad layout and not one of those fiddly/smallish typepad that grace other netbooks.

I bought this on the strength of the other reviews on here - and I was not disappointed. Great product, I'd like to use it for everything but the screen res. is too low for the photo software (which is a pity). I am really pleased to be able to carry this, rather than a heavy 15" plus mains cable when I'm out for the day. I'm still mistyping things, but that's just about practice. Really happy!
