Very efficient security programme
Very happy with this security software.As a long term user of Norton products.I found this a siutable replacement for the 360.I find the 2010 uses less recourses and loads up faster. The only thing I do miss is the PC Tune up that was part of the 360 suite.However, various free on line software does the job just as well.
Improving all the time
I've tried out a number of different internet security packages over the years and I still always seem to come back to Norton with a slightly heavy heart knowing that whilst it seems to work the best it is always a little bit cumbersome.
Over the last couple of years though I have noticed a vast improvement in Norton products across XP and Vista and this is another step up. They have taken the best parts of last year's IS and developed them even further making the whole thing more user friendly and computer friendly.
Firstly it is more lightweight then ever and doesn't drain your system of memory and speed like the Nortons of old. It is quick to load and really quick to scan with even the full scan reduced in time from last year.
It also seems to be a bit more alert then before but is still not intrusive, happily letting you do whatever you want and catching things in the background.
It also seems more compatible with different browsers and works properly in Firefox, although I still don't like the extra clutter in the window.
It is also compatible with Window 7 which is really useful for anyone else who has laptops/desktops running XP, Vista and 7.
All-in-all another step up for Norton and a great buy, especially for the bargain price on Amazon.
Finally .... they got it right.
For some reason I seem to end up reviewing a lot of the Virus packages out there in the market. I've reviewed many products and many versions and they all suffer from various problems. Poor Heuristics, complex installations, poor options, overly protective, poor integration with the Operating Systems etc. etc. Well finally we have one that doesn't have these problems. It's fast, polished, easy to understand and is as simple or as flexible as you want it to be. It's also not intrusive (Hands up if you've been working away or playing a game and the damn thing suddenly kicks you out of what you are doing so it can start a scan ?) and it doesn't cause a heavy memory footprint like some of the old AV products did. This is one of the best products I have seen in many years. Nice one Norton !
Still the best security youi can buy for your home network !!
I won't go into the spec detail of this here because there is already a wealth of information available on the main & other customer reviews about that. All I really want to say is that I have used other security programs & have found none as simple, secure, and easy to use as this. I have a main PC plus further laptops in my kids bedrooms so this secures the whole home network. One of the other programs I have used once let a virus through which ended up both ruining my laptop & losing me months of work. After that I only use Norton & have never had a problem since. This latest version is a simple & secure as the previous versions I have used. Quite simply, there is no reason to look at any other software for your security online.

This is certainly the best internet security package available. It is so simple to use, incredibly quick to install and it pretty much runs itself. You can set it to automatically take care of your computer. Its brilliant
